Greetings Friends,

I have some words I’d like to share with you about the Comox Valley Web Posse.

I appreciate the professional development and relationships that I gained building the CV Web Posse over the past 6 years, and in particular, from you as a member of the Posse. Your ongoing support has encouraged me, and I hope that we will continue to make Web/Mobile Design, Technology, and Digital Practises, a long term sustainable profession in the Comox Valley.

I formally announce I will be shutting down the Web Posse effective immediately. This wasn’t an easy decision, because I am grateful for the friendships we’ve made over the years. But after days and months of consideration, my decision is final and it’s time to move forward.

A lot has changed in my life since July 2008, including two lovely children, a supportive wife and responsibilities to my job. I feel I’ve achieved much success with the Posse in that we’ve formed a community of friends and families that will continue to flourish and grow in the Comox Valley.

I’ve dedicated myself to the field of design and want to continue to focus energy on my family and my career. I achieve much happiness from the work I do and am inspired everyday to keep learning and continue my passion in building for the web.

Thank you for being involved in the Posse by attending a meetup, a social, a workshop, a party, or simply subscribed to the mailing list.

Thanks to Leif, Merrick, Jo, Trevor, Amanda, Kevin, Sean and Phil for supporting the Posse since the beginning. And thanks to all the local businesses, speakers, presenters, organizers, students, faculty, and you, who contributed to the success of the Web Posse. I urge you to continue to support our local tech scene.

The website, facebook page, twitter, and linkedin group will be taken down.

Sincerely,

Jamie McCue
